Stuff a Bus to help Calgarians in need

bus filled with foodbank donations

A standard 40-foot bus can hold about 70 people, but how much food can it hold? We’ll find out on November 13 at our annual Stuff a Bus event!

On Saturday, November 13 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. you’ll find a Calgary Transit bus parked outside every Calgary Co-op location in the city. We’re asking Calgarians to stuff the buses full of non-perishable food donations and cash to support the Calgary Food Bank.

In partnership with Calgary Co-op, AMP 90.3 and XL 103 radio, this is Calgary Transit’s 29th annual Stuff a Bus event.

The food and funds you generously donate will go a long way to help families and individuals in need. With the downturn in the economy, the Calgary Food Bank has experienced a huge increase in demand. Stuff a Bus is one of Calgary’s largest single-day food drives and we can make a big impact.

Volunteers will be on site to accept non-perishable food items and provide tax receipts for cash donations. Co-op has pre-packaged food hampers for sale, or you can check out the Calgary Food Bank’s wish list of the most needed items.
