Stampede Park entrance

Be prepared for Stampede this year. Here are some tips for getting around during Stampede.

Stampede and COVID-19

The Calgary Stampede is back, and will run from July 9-18. There will be some changes that you’ll need to know for the 2021 Stampede and you can find them here: https://www.calgarystampede.com/stampede

For the most up-to-date information about Calgary Transit’s guidelines during the COVID-19 pandemic, visit https://www.calgarytransit.com/content/transit/en/home/news/covid-info---rider-resource.html

Getting to the grounds:

From City Hall Station, it's only a 10-15 minute walk to the main gates.

Catch a shuttle bus to Erlton/Stampede Station from:

  • Macleod Trail @ 7 Avenue S.E. (Old City Hall)
  • 1 Street @ 7 Avenue S.E. Convention Centre Parkade)

Take the Red Line CTrain to Victoria Park/Stampede or Erlton/Stampede stations. Centre Street and City Hall stations become extremely crowded between 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.  You may have to wait to get onto a CTrain.

Here is a map showing the different options to get to the grounds.
